Mini-splits provide both heating and cooling that allow you to control the temperatures in in rooms or other areas in a home or business. Mini Split systems are highly energy efficient and are great in reducing oil consumption for homes that use heating oil.

Mini-splits are made up of two components. There’s an outdoor compressor/condenser and indoor air-handling unit(s) also known as evaporators. Mini Splits only require a three-inch hole through a wall for the conduit that will house the power, copper tubing, condensation drain line and communication cables that connect the outdoor and indoor systems. Mini Splits are relatively easy to install but should still be done by a professional to ensure proper installation.

Mini-splits are great for homes that have no duct work. They can also be a good choice for room additions or homes adding extensions where duct work is not available. Ductless Mini-Splits are very quiet almost like a whisper. Ductless Mini Splits ere energy-efficient for both heating and cooling homes. It’s a great system for homes that don’t have duct work to support the conventional central air conditioning systems (CAC).
